Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-12

Effective date: August 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Leksiana LLC (“Leksiana,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in the Kololad mobile application (“Kololad,” the “App,” or the “Service”).

Kololad is designed as a local-first guided routine timer app. The App allows users to create routines with steps, timers, instructions, sounds, photos, and videos. When iCloud is available for Kololad, this content can synchronize automatically between devices using the same Apple Account.

By using Kololad, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Kololad does not currently require you to create an account or sign in.

Kololad does not currently collect personal information through a custom backend server.

Kololad does not currently use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking tools.

Kololad does not currently sell, rent, or share your personal information for advertising or marketing purposes.

2. Information Stored on Your Device and in iCloud

Kololad keeps an operational copy of routine-related information locally on your device.

This may include:

  • routine names
  • routine steps
  • step instructions
  • step durations
  • selected sounds
  • routine settings
  • photos or videos you choose to add to routines
  • routine completion history, including routine and playback-session identifiers and routine-name snapshots
  • start and completion dates and times, active duration excluding paused time, and completion time-zone information
  • deletion and synchronization metadata needed to keep devices consistent

If you are signed in to an Apple Account and iCloud is enabled for Kololad, the App automatically attempts to store and synchronize this information using your private Apple CloudKit database. This allows your routines, media, and Routine Activity to appear on other supported devices using the same Apple Account.

Apple hosts and processes this synchronized data as part of iCloud. It is not uploaded to a custom Leksiana backend, and Leksiana cannot browse the contents of users’ private CloudKit databases through the CloudKit developer console.

If iCloud is unavailable or disabled for Kololad, the App remains usable with its local copy and retains pending changes for later synchronization. Signing out without a replacement Apple Account retains the local copy. When a different Apple Account becomes active, Kololad separates the account libraries and removes the previous account’s local replica from that device before displaying or uploading the new account’s content.

3. Photos and Videos

Kololad may allow you to add photos or videos to your routines.

When you choose a photo or video, that media is copied into Kololad’s local storage and used to display it inside your routine.

If iCloud is enabled for Kololad, the App automatically uploads that copied media to your private CloudKit database so it can download to your other supported devices. Kololad does not upload your photos or videos to a custom Leksiana backend.

You are responsible for the photos and videos you choose to add to the App.

4. App Permissions

Kololad may request permission to access certain features on your device, such as your photo or video library, only when needed for app functionality.

For example, Kololad may request access so you can select a photo or video for a routine step.

You can manage app permissions in your device settings.

5. Payments and Subscriptions

Kololad may offer an optional paid subscription called Kololad Plus through Apple In-App Purchase.

Payments and subscription management are handled by Apple. Leksiana LLC does not collect or store your payment card information.

Apple may process information related to your purchase according to Apple’s own privacy policy and terms.

6. Support Emails

If you contact us for support, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, your message, and any details you include about your issue.

We use this information only to respond to your request, provide support, and improve Kololad.

Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your support request.

7. Data Retention

Routine data, settings, Routine Activity and completion history, photos, and videos stored locally in Kololad remain on the device until they are removed by the App, you delete the App, you reset the device, or an Apple Account privacy boundary requires removal of the prior account’s local replica.

Deleted routines and explicitly deleted steps remain in Recently Deleted for 30 days so they can be restored. Media remains available while it is still referenced by retained or recoverable content. Eligible unreferenced media is removed during cleanup.

Synchronized data may remain in your private iCloud database and on your other devices until the deletion has synchronized. Apple may also retain information according to your iCloud settings, backups, and Apple’s own policies.

Support emails may be retained as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, maintain business records, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations.

8. Deleting Your Data

You can delete routine data inside the App by deleting routines or steps. Those items remain recoverable in Recently Deleted for 30 days and are then removed automatically. To propagate deletion to your other devices and private iCloud database, allow Kololad to synchronize after the retention period completes.

Deleting a routine or step does not delete existing Routine Activity records for past completions. Kololad does not currently provide a separate control to delete individual completion-history records.

Deleting Kololad from one device removes that device’s local app data, but it does not necessarily remove synchronized Kololad data from iCloud or from your other devices. Depending on your settings, data may also remain in device or iCloud backups until those backups are deleted or replaced.

If you contacted us by email and want us to delete your support request information, you may contact us at support@kololad.com.

9. Third-Party Services

Kololad does not currently use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Kololad relies on Apple services for private CloudKit synchronization, App Store distribution, in-app purchases, subscription management, and related Apple platform features.

Third-party services are governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

10. Children’s Privacy

Kololad does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us through a support request or another method, please contact us at support@kololad.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

11. Security

We care about protecting your information.

Kololad is designed to keep routine data and user-added media in local app storage and, when enabled, in the user’s private CloudKit database. Apple protects iCloud data using Apple Account authentication and its platform security controls. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, Apple Account, iCloud settings, and backups.

12. International Users

Leksiana LLC is based in Florida, United States.

If you contact us from outside the United States, your support email and related information may be processed in the United States.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When we update it, we will change the effective date above. Your continued use of Kololad after the updated Privacy Policy is posted means you accept the updated policy.
